Our Story
SinoUnited Health was founded in Shanghai in 2016 by cardiologist and heart-failure specialist Dr. Kathy Shi. After years inside the public system, she set out to build something different: a complete, high-quality private healthcare service in which doctors — not operational metrics — decide what is best for the patient.
From the start, SinoUnited was never intended to be a "premium clinic" alone. It was designed as an integrated system spanning a general hospital, specialty clinics and digital care across the Yangtze River Delta. Today it is one of the region's largest and most widely distributed high-quality private healthcare networks.
Care follows a "family doctor + specialist" model: a general practitioner coordinates your overall health while specialists provide deep expertise, working together as a closed loop. All physicians are drawn from top international institutions and China's Grade-A tertiary hospitals, and practice according to evidence-based guidelines.
Our Hospital
Our flagship, Shanghai SinoUnited Hospital, opened in December 2022 on Jiangxi Middle Road beside the Bund — a moment from Nanjing Road. Across roughly 10,000 square metres and six floors, it offers outpatient, surgical and inpatient care, a 24-hour urgent-care clinic, and on-site CT and MRI. Its five operating theatres include two class-100 and two class-10,000 laminar-flow rooms plus a DSA cath lab; inpatient facilities include 27 single rooms and 5 intensive-care rooms.
